I have a samsung mp3 player--- How do I connect this to my stereo to make it play throughout the house???
I would do it on my computer, but I lost the cord that connects the mp3 player to the computer....
Thanks for the help.

If your stereo has a “Line In” or Auxillary RCA (red and white plugs), you can get a cable that will go from your mp3 player’s headphone socket to one of these inputs.
Alternatively, you could buy another cable to connect your mp3 player to your computer, if your computer has good sound processing capabilities and good speakers. I’d recommend buying a cable that will let you connect your mp3 player with the best audio device in the house – which, for most consumers, will be your stereo/hi-fi system.
To connect to a “Line In” plug on your hi-fi, you’ll need a cable with a 3.5mm stereo plug at both ends (kinda like a headphone plug, but with another plug at the other end instead of headphones).
To connect to an “Aux In”, you’ll need a converter cable, with a 3.5mm plug at one end (which goes into your headphone socket) and a pair of Male RCA plugs at the other end, usually colour-coded red and white.
You can use an FM transmitter to “broadcast” music from your mp3 player to the radio on your stereo system; but the quality of FM-broadcast music is always lower, due to the lower audio bandwidth capabilities of FM vs. a cable connection.
Get a 3.5mm dubbing cable. Connect one end to you mp3 player and one end to the Aux jack on your stereo.
You can also get and FM transmitter. Plug the end into the mp3 player and then set the station on the transmitter and set the station on your FM tuner on your stereo.
