How Can You Rip An Mp3 Using Itunes That Plays Really Loud On A Shuffle?

When I use itunes to rip my cd's to MP3 they play too soft on my shuffle. I have tried changing the settings for bit rate and stereo choice but it doesn't make them loud enough. I have other MP3 that are really loud but I cant get itunes to rip them loud enough. Any suggestions?
